Earlier this month the ever-so-talented Foals stopped by Triple J to play a new tune from their forthcoming album, and as apart of nearly every visit to the studio, they chose to cover “Daffodils” by Mark Ronson (which features Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker on vocals) for the ‘Like A Version’ segment. All I can say, is that even though this was posted on the 13th, I’m still freaking out about it as if it was the first time I’ve listened to it. It’s that good. If you’re not too familiar with the original *gasp* listen below. Foals definitely take it to another level, almost to the point that this could’ve easily been a track of their own, with the poppy vibes that you found in “My Number” from their last record Holy Fire.

Which live version do you dig more?

P.S. What Went Down drops on September 4th, brace yourselves… it’s going to be quite a ride, just from watching this 11-minute trailer that previews each of the tracks. Pre-order now (!!!)
